Who did you buy the rubber gasket from????
Most cheap products will give you bad results.
Personally I will use only Steele Rubber products, it is the best made stuff I have came across..Joe

I agree with ZooKeper. I would also BE SURE you have the correct windshield for a 37 cab. The 36 low cab windshield looks just like the 37 winshield. In addition, it is shaped the same, measures very close to the 37 and will bolt up to the 37, but it is not the same windshield. It does not fit correctly.

I used three different gaskets before buying one from Steele Rubber. Its the only one that fit correctly and let the windshield close all the way.

Another vote for Steeles - tried one from Jim Carter first - rubber so hard it would not flex - ordered one from Steeles - worked like a charm !

I have a Steele Rubber gasket on my windshield frame and it has been on there since 1982. It looks just as good today as the day I installed it. There really isn't any other choice. It has to be Steel.

backn37..... I purchased a NEW frame from American Classis back around 1999 and fits just as you described.... Now I"m wondering if American sent me the wrong one???? ....or sending the same frame for the low cab 36 and the 37??? A fellow just never knows frown

backn37, what's the height measurement at the center of your window frame ? A 36 is about 11 3/4, while a 37 is about 12 3/4. I have a 37 frame and I need a 36. Send me a PM if you want to do some trading.

My frame has a slight arch across the top 12 3/4" top to bottom at the center.13" top to bottom at the wiper arm .13 3/4"at the end from the top to the lowest point of the curve. It seems 1/2" short all across the bottom.
The top arch differs from your description. The frame I have follows the cab line from the inside but not on the outside.
Thanks Todd (backn37)

After reinspecting the frames, I see both 36 and 37 frames have an arch across the top. The 36 less of an arch than 37. The frame I believe to be a 37 measures 12 3/4 at the outside center. The 36 I have removed from my cab measures 11 3/4 at the outside center.
