I'd like to do a coat of etching or epoxy primer & then the original Ivory color. Can I even get etching or epoxy in a can? It's OK for small parts that don't need a high quality finish.

some thing I've done on my truck is spray clear coat[also in cans]over the colour[Canadian spelling :D]

I'm hoping not to get too involved in this for just a bumper and grill, but then again - I don't want it to look like crap in 6 months either.
If I could find a good hard finish in a can I'd jump on it. Like all bodywork/paint,preparation is everything.
I've rattle canned my whole dash and I'm pleased with results,time will tell......
