One from a Mercruiser 165 will polish out nice or Clifford Perfomance makes one. I think there are other vendors as well. Some where I saw an adapter plate that would allow you to use those designed for a 235 like Wayne or Offenhauser covers as well, though I've forgotten where.

Check out www.t6racing.org

I thought he had the valve cover adapter, but I didn't see it. He maybe out of stock on al valve covers. He does have many more alum. parts. Give hime a call Larry Page.

Does the '84 have a seperate intake, or is it part of the head?
Not sure the older covers fit the intregal head.

Try ( www.Inliners.org ) and check there links and swapmeet area.

Mercruizer is about the only real stock replacement aluminum cover out there. I have see some aftermarket race type covers, but they are real expensive. Checl your local boat repair shop, you may get luckly.

Not as nice as aluminum but PAW still sells a chrome Chevy six valve cover for $25.

I think it has PCV hole in the rear, oil fill in the front and hole for tube to air cleaner on side near front.

The Wixski cast aluminum valve covers are made for the 216 (and 235/261’s with long rocker studs) and are thick enough to engrave just about anything you want on them.

Tom Langdon sells an adapter to put the 216 type valve cover on a 250, 292, etc:

Jim,
That was $10.00 very well spent as yours looks great.

I have one of the Cheap-o chrome ones, I never could get it to seal up. I went back with a stock one painted black. No leaks now!

I just received a Mercruiser 165 rocker cover, and it's way short for the inline six. Looks more like a v8 cover. Not happy

I'll bet that one is for the 4 cylinder MercCruiser. I had one.

yeh, it's a shorty. I found a couple of the 6 cyl ones, but they are three times the money as the one I bought. I'll have to get back to work for a while before I chase one of them down.
