Can anyone tell me how you hook up the neutral safety switch on a turbo 350 automatic transmission? how do you connect the passing gear linkage on the same transmission in a 1963 Chevrolet truck?

Most neutral switches are on the column.

There should be a cable coming out of the trans housing that hooks to the carb. Is the cable still there?

Then there should be a provision on the shifter. I don't think there ever was such a device on the TH350,

There is a cable that goes in the right side of the trans near the dipstick. It should hook to the throttle linkage for the kickdown. Like Big48 says the neutral switch goes on the shifter. Therte is a kit available that goes on the trans near the shift lever. It can be used for neutral or backup lights but not both.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.
