Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 19 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 19 | Hey all, I'm restoring a 1955 1st series deluxe 5-window Chevy 1/2 ton truck and I need a local sandblaster to blast the cab, doors, running boards and a few odds and ends. Can anybody give me some good referrals? I'm in San Pedro, California, about 25 miles south of downtown Los Angeles. Thanks, Tim.

Follow Woody's advice. I've been looking for a local sandblaster for several years. There are no companies that advertise the service or that know about any other companies that provide the service.
Not long ago, Woody posted the same advice - I just mumbled "duh", why didn't I think of that. I called a local monument/memorial/gravestone supplier and they said "sure, but we are always busy until the Fall". I can wait a month or two.
Thanks, Woody.

They charge 100 per hour including the sand. But with his set up you'd be surprised how much he can do in an hour's time! In the end you will definitely be glad you did.
I wish I had followed this advice and saved myself some money and hot summer days over 100 degree. Live an learn!! | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 19 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 19 | Thanks guys, I'll see who I can find locally and let you all know how it turns out.
