Just want to make sure that when I install the lock ring, one tang locks the inner lock nut, and one tang locks the outer. When I took my axle out someone had bent all of the tangs. I don't need to do that do I?

I've never seen a tab bent to the inner nut, just the outer is all I've done. That way it saves the lock for future services,

Being a newbie, I am not sure what the lock ring is suppose to look like. Mine has a small tab for the slot on the rear axle, two short inner tabs and the rest are long tabs, bent at 90° to fit over the lock nut. What I did was put the lock ring on the axle, one of the short inside tabs lined up with a notch in the adjusting nut so I pushed it into the slot, one of the longer tabs bent at 90° lined up with the outer lock nut so I bent that into the slot. That seems to make sense to me.
