Stovebolt Engine Co does offer an electronic dizzy and there is always Pertronix. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,832 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,832 | You can use any point type distributor to trigger an MSD or you can convert your existing distributor to full electronic with a Pertronix kit for about 80 bucks and 15 minutes. What many like is to use the later 250/292 GM HEI distributor which is all self contained and takes one wire to hook it up. It has to have the shoulder on the housing moved up about 3/8" to get full oil pump meshing but that's it. They make a collar to clamp it down and every parts store in the world has parts on hand for it.

If you run it with the recommended best performance Promaster coil, you will need a HyFire box. I'm running a 3RLi box with mine, as it has a rev limiter in it. I'm also running Pro Sidewinder wires. Parts are redily availabe at any Mallory dealer.
