For helping keep this great

on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 117 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 117 | Sorry in advance if this is the wrong forum for this question. I have a nice new set of Autometer 5" gauges, Speedo & 4 gauge combo, and am trying to find an adapter ring to allow me to install them in my 50 3100. Anyone ever do this or know of someone who has. I seem to be hitting a dead end trying to find a "ready made" adapter so before I start trying to make my own I figured I better ask the masses. I know I'm not the first to try this. Any help greatly appreciated. Not long ago someone here was making them and I remember they looked good. Try a few "searches" and maybe that post will appear or someone ill be along shortly with the answers. Just hold on! | | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 117 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 117 | I did do a search and it did render some information but I must have missed seeing the post where someone was making them. I did find info on using your old gauge housings to make adapters but my old gauges are in such nice shape I hate to ruin them. This truck is going to be more of a hot rod hence the change but I'm sure someone restoring (or possibly my next project) one would love to have the originals. I'm going to take another look at the situation today though. Again, sorry for posting on the wrong forum, I knew you guys would set me straight. Chuck | | |
