Adjusted shifting arms, tried heavier grear lube (140 wt), all to no avail. Now just attach a bunji cord ! Any suggestions? All gears are quiet and mileage is over 20 mpg with my 235 six so would like to salvage the trans without having to pull it. This a three on a tree setup with a switch used to engage OD. Wrenchbender please expand on your suggestion. Assume that I can pull the cover with the trans in truck. What do I look for? Also if I have another cover from a trans can't I just swap them out? The trans in truck is a Munsie and I have a cover from a Saganaw-will they interchange? Thanks for any help or ideas.

Unfortunately I don't have any of the kick down stuff to engage the electrical solenoid. I can fab something if I knew what it was. What kind of setup kicks it into OD? I've thought about some vacuum switches from an AC unit. Thanks.
