Mostly because the track arm has a different mounting on all the catalogs that I look at for parts, also it has the two piece driveshaft and the mounting for the bearing looks "homemade" Here are some pictures. http://i677.photobucket.com/albums/vv140/1964c10/P1020120.jpghttp://i677.photobucket.com/albums/vv140/1964c10/P1020119.jpgI would sincerely appreciate any help in finding out what is going on so that I can replace the bushings on the track arm.

The tracking arm is a panhard bar and it looks right to me, Scott | | | | Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 39 Apprentice | Apprentice Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 39 | Scott, Thanks for the info. The panhard bar in the catalog mounts to a pin/bolt that is in the rear axle as you can see in the pictures, mine has a bracket welded to it. I have seen a similar bracket sold to adapt a "modern" axle to our trucks. | | | | Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 98 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 98 | That panhard bracket looks just like the one on my 62...dont know why somebody would do that to the newer rear though | | | | Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 39 Apprentice | Apprentice Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 39 | Well not sure it's "new" that was just my assumption since it was different from stock but I guess it could be from an older one as well. Would it be possible to get a picture from you Mark? | | |
