Hey ya'll! I'm a newbie here and a newbie to owning a classic truck. Actually it's my hubby's truck - a gift from me to him for putting up with me for the past 33 years. It's a 1960 Chevy step-side short bed with a big window. It's a hunny! Has been sitting for the past 8 or 9 years but still looks great - just needs a little detail work done on it and we'll be ready for the shows. Here's what I know about the truck - it's BAD and LOUD. It
has a chromed up 350 engine with roller rocker solid lifter cam, pop up pistons, hooker headers, 730 Holly and a muncie 4-speed, an oak bed, R4560 x 15" tires with center-line wheels. Whew! That's a mouth full. I'm sure there is more that I will add as soon as I learn all the details. Hubby and a friend built this truck about 19 years ago so he knows the truck and now finally owns it and we call it Bob's BAD [censored] 60. If you care to take a gander at it check it out at
BBA 60 on Flickr

Thanks,
Pami

Welcome to the club. Hope you like it here. Your husband is in a win-win situation. That is a nice truck. I hope you find the stuff you need yet.

Thanks - about all we need are the mirrors and I will order them from LMC as suggested. He may change the cam so it isn't quite as rumbley so when we cruise around town but it sure sounds WILD right now. I'm posting some new pics today as it was a pretty day and we pulled it out of the garage.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Welcome to the 'bolt

Nifty present for your husband, with sentimental value thumbs_up Maybe your hubby will want to build you one too now so you have his and her trucks grin

It's nice to see another gal in here, Pami cool
