My problem is that there is not enough room between steering wheel and column shifter I keep knocking it outta gear or just raking knuckles through it. If you have an older wheel on one it would be real awkward.

It might have an inch of clearance between wheel and shifter while in first or reverse. A real nice young man and has a good bit of mechanically knowledge..and his lady also is pretty dang sharp on stuff. I told him to hang onto her  I'm going to go by one evening this week. I also want to look at a couple things on his Original panel!! | | | | | Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 46 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 46 | figured out the problem while rolling around under it tonight. someone slid the the shift box and rod further up the column to clear the intake manifold on the 235 thus putting the lever closer to the wheel.
