Not enuf to report on BillyBob yet but I've got the first Deerslayer tech log to post in an episode called "Getting Started". This includes learning my way around the truck (oil change and other periodical maintenance), cosmetics (pinstriping and cleaning flat paint), door handle work, battery cut-off switch, new radiator and . . . cruise-ins, beers and ceegars.

Tinkering with Deerslayer - Getting Started

OOOK, Now I'm up todate. I wish I had kept a journal but then I would not be finished with my truck....I'd still be writing smile

Laorke, what did you do with the gas tank....or what kind did you use to get it out of the cab. I've really been thinking about moving mine. I like to go fast sometime and don't like sitting on liquid dynamite!

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Tony Pascarella (Truckedup) built the truck. He put a generic (16 gal, I think) tank behind the rear axle under the bed. There's a hole in the floor with a hinged lid to access the filler. Works fine unless you forget to gas up before picking up that load of horse manure.

Laroke,

cool truck, I always love the fenders on that model.

Looks like you have your hands full.

It is two hands full, Wooge

I've refined my standard cruise-in responses to the most often asked questions.

Question "What color you gonna paint it?"
Answer "Flat red"

Question "What is this thing?"
Answer "Loud, fast and dangerous"

If they are still interested, I offer longer, informative answers devoid of the scarasm.

Here's the real skinny from the Deerslayer intro page on the website. It's in the first paragraph
