F121(S),(probably a 5)JC decodes as a Flint engine built on Dec 15.
The engine serial number suffix 'JC' appears in a 58' and 59' list of GM engine suffixes and was a Thriftmaster "235" with 3 speed transmission.

Also look for "Captains Bars". It is possible that you have a 261 which were available for the K20 then with an 848 head. Block casting numbers would really help ID it.

3769716 is the block casting code for a 58-62 235 truck engine.
Where on the block did you find b48848850? Was the location as shown at photo #4 at the link above? If so, that code is a mystery?

It looks like an engine that could have used in a '59 or '60 truck. Did you check the head and block date casting codes (locations are shown at the link I posted above).
A late 1959 engine (block and/or head) could have been originally installed in a 1960 truck.
