Well ok here is my first question, On my ' 61 Apache I shut the door on my truck and that was that now the latch is stuck in the open position, can this be fixed while in the truck, take it out or should I get a new latch assembly? and dose anybody have a pic. of one from the other side of the cover plate so I might figure out whats going on?

Oh, you should post this question in the Paint and Body forum and you will get better results. Not everyone looks in this forum. Good luck and keep us posted. We all like to learn from what happens to others and the fixes in case we have the same problem.
