If you mean a seat with one base across the entire truck
the height of the base of the seat will have to be cut down by about 3 or 4 inches-- Custom Trucks or Custom Classic Trucks did an article ( with pictures) a couple of years ago--
Sorry but I can't remember which magazine it was--

I have a pair of those seats. They work OK, but for me it is still a little crowded in a standard cab. They are still comfortable but I am always a little crowded in a standard cab because of my height and long legs. I like to lean the seat back further than a standard cab allows. I have reached "my" conclusion that I prefer a bench seat on a standard cab. My '94 F-150 has a nice bench seat with lumbar bladders that I like and would consider placing in an older truck.

I have '03 Silverado seats in my '50 3100 and really like the fit. I couldn't fit the center piece in, just the seats. I took the headrests off to make it look a little better also. I can post pictures if you'd like.

Sorry for the delay. I lost track of this thread. I have uploaded some additional pics to the "interiors" folder on my webshots.

I'll try to take some more pictures of the final installation of the seats this weekend. There is enough space between the seats to build a narrow center console, maybe to mount a radio or at least a cup holder, but I haven't gotten that far yet.

Someday I'll recover the seats in a white or cream color. (don't tell the wife. She hasn't approved that yet)

I have installed a set of 60/40 fronts seats from a 2001 buick lesabre, they fit perfect. the right width,i am 5"7 and find that there could be a little more leg room, but its ok for me.
These seats have the integrated seat belts, all lesabres from 00-05 I think.
