I've got a 1952 GMC 3/4 ton with a 355 (0.030" overbored 350) with 10:1 compression and an Isky 270Megacam hyd flat tappet. It's got 1986 Corvette shorty headers and 2.5 inch mandrel bent dual pipes with side exhaust in front of the rear tires. Still working out the bugs though, but it's quick with 4.56 gearing...a little too quick.

If I have a 4 cylinder but it's two cycle..
Is it like an 8 cylinder 4 cycle?
Suppose it runs like a straight 8 and not a bent 8 though..

I've got a 327 in my '51 Bored out 60 new rods and pistons. Crank turned and balanced. Double roller timing set. New cam, lifters, Highrise intake and 4 Bl carb from Edelbrock performer series. Double hump heads with new valve springs and valves 2.02 + 1.6 I'm hoping to get about 350 hp out of it.

I have a 57 3100 that was an orignal V8.

I currently has a slightly newer 60's vintage 283 in it. Not sure from what year but does not look original.

59 poncho 389 in my 59 GMC. The motor has been bored .030 over and stroked 1/2 inch with a eagle forged stroker crank to come up with 447 inches. I am also running an early tripower on this motor. This motor is a direct bolt in replacement for the original 336 inch pontiac v8 that the gmc was born with.

I hate automatics, so this one moves with a 5 speed nv4500. I hope to break the new engine in very soon.

Hi, new to the forum here. I have a 61 long bed, started life as a 6/3 on the tree model. Pops put a 327/350 combo at first, since then it's had a blown 327 and an LT1 350/400. I plan to put a gallery page up soon with pics and history, as the truck has been in my family since the mid 60's.

I've got a Chevy 350 small block, mildly built up, with Corvette headers and side-exit exhaust, shifted through the original transmission and differential in a 1952 GMC 3/4 ton pick up.

I love the torque, but now it accelerates a lot quicker than it will stop on the stock brakes. Future plans include a 6V53 roots supercharger off of a Detroit Diesel. But only if I can make stopping and handling safer.

Fixing to put a 550hp 400 small block into my 46 1.5 ton. Though many stay old school with 216's which is cool but mine was drive train free when i got it so now its gonna be a badass 4x4 when its done. U are definitely not an oddball.

My 70' GMC 1500 had a stock 350 in it with a 350 turbo hydramatic tranny behind it, but early on in it's life the stock 350 was blown. it being a workhorse got a replacement quick. It was refitted with a 350 hodge podge motor. It is a combination of the stock engine and a Target Master Motor. It still runs like a top, if you get it started. I can tell the different engines by the colors, the stock stuff is orange and the other is blue. It really is a strange looking sight. I am set to have the engine out by the end of the month for a rebuild. I plan on painting it all orange again, and when it's all set and done, it'll have 325 hp. The turbo-hydramatic is still kicking after a reseal job, but if it dies, I'd consider a manual tranny for fun. Original rear-end easily does 70 to 75 down the freeway, or at least it did when dad and I drove it home.
