The glue holds the rubber in place so vibration does not move it. the upper supports are changed so that wouldn't apply to any bolters, just in my case. I'll take photos today so they'll be in my next batch of film to get developed. my radiator main frame sits directly on the truck frame right now w/ two 3/8'' carrage bolts holding the bottom, as in my photos. I'm still trying to get the hood to fit properely and hope i don't have to mess w/ the rad frame again. it's bad enough i have to pull the radiator again to fit my fenders under the two ears or tabs that hold the rad. frame to the fender supports. this can get/is timeconsuming. It's not appearant to me exactly where the radiator sits with-in it's frame, it could have been moved more forward and i would not have needed a pusher fan. The relationship of the rad. main frame DOES effect the fender supports and brackets of the hood. i guess if i pull the radiator to fit the fenders it's not that big a deal @ this point.

There is a difference between 3100 and the 3600 at the radiator support. The correct terminology is radiator support.
As I read the assembly manual the only cushions appear to the be pad between the rad support and the crossmember.

The design engineers thought it best to cushion the support and I will follow that in fear of what might crack if I don't. We can give better/correct advice if we can see what you're doing. Got a camera?
