I drop axles and get allot of wore out spindles in. I was at the parts store the other day and there was a new kid there that could not read the book! (You Know the Type). I was wanting king pins for a 51 Chevy. I said I would look it up myself. It was a MOOG book and I came across two different sets. They were both the same in every way except bushing OD. Stock Bushing OD is 1.0537 the other set had 1.0782 OD bushings. I ordered both sets. When I got them in it was just what I wanted. I took a reamer and reamed out the wore out spindle bushing holes and installed the bigger bushings. Now for all those 30 wore out spindles that I was going to toss I have a fix. The Moog part# for the king pin set with oversize bushings is 8451B I looked at the NAPA parts book and they don't have a king pin set with the bigger bushings. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 1,867 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 1,867 | | | |
