It's a '65 C-10 panel that has already been converted to five-lug, front and rear. No engine or transmission. Pretty nice body, except for a spot on the right rear panel. All there, otherwise. Front sheetmetal is inside the truck. Pretty much what I'd wanted. I've got a '66 C-10 long stepside, but it really hasn't tripped my trigger, so I'm working a swap for the panel truck. If I get it (which I'm pretty confident I will!), I'll post a few pics.
Should be fun.

I've been thinking about finding a teardrop or canned ham-style camper trailer and pulling that with this on little trips to the lake, or the Ozarks, and have lots of room to move around in. It already has a five-lug conversion going all round and front discs, so that part is done. I'm trading on this truck only from pictures, so I am hoping the body is as good as the seller says. There is no glass with it, but that really isn't all that expensive. Just gives me less prep for the bodywork! I tried to get a pic of it off my email and then post it through Webshots, but it would not post. No biggie.

BUT, the cowl is in great shape, as are the rockers, roof, and the front sheetmetal (yes, it's there!). Who knows when I'll get around to this one, but it's here now, and that's what matters to me.

It's a Kampmaster / Wild Goose Design !!! http://s67.photobucket.com/albums/h298/1951otter/?action=view¤t=DSC00341.jpgas you lift up the rear of the tear, swing out the footstep, the wooden door unfolds upwards as you lift, locks into a position (see centre hinges) . inside the drop you then lift up on the driver/left side a shaped panel swings up 7 helps support the top to stay up, you're new wall. the pass/right side is fly-screened as well as the back and door. access to the bed is either from the back and I (I'm 6-3'') walked to the bed and laid down, or you can use the side door. storage there too. Pretty COOL

There are a few of them around. I heard of one when I was in Minden,NE in '07 at a teardrop gathering that had been disassembled and ready to restore and for sale. There was also one at the Redwoods gathering in July '08, and there has been yet another at the DAM GATHERING at Shasta Dam (Lakehead,CA) for the past 2 years. I love them, my favorite design. We have a 4'x8' Kuffel Creek Cuby home built with two doors and plan to build a 5'x 10' (more room/better size, room for queen size bed) to pull with my 1 ton. We're going to have to do sommething about the rear end to get it up to highway speed first however. You might want to check a web site "teardrops.net", you'll find LOTS of info there. Bettyann | | |
