Hello All,
I've had my 51 chevy 1/2 ton for about a year and have done some minor work to it. In the past I was able to do simple projects that I could tackle using basic tools and the assembly book. Now I'm getting to the point where I need some more advanced advice and hard to find parts. This forum has been awesome so far. My plan is to leave my truck basically stock and try to make it just like it was when it was in use...not a rat rod and not "showroom" new, just like it would have been on the farm if it were 5-10 yrs old. I have a three window, three on the tree with the original 216. For what it's worth, I live on the west side of St. Louis MO. Looking forward to any good advice or info I can get. Thanks
-cale

Cale,
Welcome to the forum. I am fairly new here myself and also have a 51 1/2 ton. This site is a great resource! We do like to see pictures when you get a chance to get them posted.

Hello Cale,

I'm not sure how you would classify me. I guess you could call me a long time lurker. I've known about the site for quite some time and enjoy reading through all the information. I've got a '54 1/2 ton and like you intend to restore it to what it may have been like when it was in use. My grandfather had a '54 that he used on his farm and that's my inspiration.

Hi Cale,

Yup, the photos worked just fine. Thanks. It looks like you have a fantastic rust free and dent free truck. Is this indeed the case? You are off to a great start and already way ahead.
