Thought I would trial fit the power master brake setup to the frame. First I had to find two short 7/16" fine thread bolts, which resulted in a trip to the local hardware store (not Lowes or Ho-D-Po). They didn't have Grade 8, these Grade 5's probably will work, but I will probably order Grade 8's from McMaster's or Aircraft Spruce. Nothing like having some brake component fail, the only thing worse is a steering piece.
I can't recall the vendor I bought the kit from, but the stuff is marked from MBM, although I know this didn't come from them directly. At any rate, no instructions. I believe this to be a fairly generic kit that is probably made by 1 or 2 sources and resold by everyone else.
I do have a picture from a catalog, so I go ahead and fit it together to see what it looks like.
It looks pretty cool, the first new part on the old truck, and starting to turn the corner from disassembly to assembly...
At any rate, tonight I dug the old forged brake arm out of the parts bin, remove it from the old master cyl, clean it up a bit (covered in grime) and tried everything out. In general, it looks like it would work to me.

Two questions:
1. It looks like I need to grind some off the bottom of the old forged brake arm to give the bolt that goes thru the spherical bearing some room to tighten up. See this pic:

I wanted to get the master cylinder on as when I get my front end welded in and start to fit the motor and transmission mounts, I wanted to see how close the transmission and power booster were, hoping they don't collide and I have to go to firewall mount or hydro-booster.
Thanks!
