| | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 48 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: May 2006 Posts: 48 | I have a GMC 283EC. On the right side the rear leaf springs seem to be collapsed when I take a measurement. On previous attempts the grease would not go into the pin...even after cleaning it out.
I'm not sure if the springs are collapsed or that the pin is badly worn...Help....I can get another set of springs...I just need to know what the best way of taking it off and putting the others on.

Inspect them pins and get new ones if needed and if you have trouble getting the pins out they may screw in to the spring eye with a machine type thread if the do there should be flats on them so they can be turned with a wrench. | | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 48 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: May 2006 Posts: 48 | is the spring collapsing or is it just the pin....
