That's OK. Just like the Wayne, it will probably say "Patrick's" on the inside of it. wink Mine don't! :p And, I'll bet they cost as much as an original Fenton. frown I've got two Fenton's right now, but I don't think the bottom will fall out of the original Fenton market. grin

If it's like anything else that gets repop'd, the price of nice originals will go up since the repops will be of poor quality and detail.

No I don't. Looking at the price, it looks like I won't be getting one either. Actually, hasn't this manifold been on ebay a few times before? Didn't brjr51 send me a link to this same manifold about 6 months ago? I think you should buy it ViejitosCC. LOL That would fit under the hood of an AD PU I'll bet!

I have about 3 or 4 different Edmunds, but none with linkage like that! I think almost all of mine have the linkage run through the part of the manifold where the carbs sit. I'm not sure about the headers. I don't recognize them.

So... After all this time. For my own personal taste, I've decided the best looking ones are the Edmunds and the Ededlbrock. I found an Edelbrock quite a while ago and will be using it on a 261 stroker with Caddy pistons. There are still a couple on the list that I haven't seen. Anyone have pics of the Harper, Wayne, Lee or Newhouse?

I've got a Harper intake. I picked it up some years back but have never messed with it. Very well made.

I have never seen a Wayne, Lee or Newhouse intake. I didn't know Wayne made an intake. I have heard of Lee and Newhouse. I suspect a Newhouse would be pretty tough to come by since the distribution of those intakes were soley by Newhouse Automotive Industries in Los Angeles 22, Calif.

Anybody ever seen a set of Cal Custom spark plug wire looms? I know ViejitosCC is looking for some. I know a guy who had a set of rough rusty ones. They have sparked an interest in me for them. I'd like to find a set just to have!

Fellas,
I think those headers with the Edmunds intake are old Clark headers. They look just like the ones in an old catalog I have. They appeared to be both formed and welded.
While we're on the speed equipment subject, who made this,

Tom Langdon made a "Chevrolet" side cover using that same script. It wouldn't surprise me if that was a creation of his. It definitely is set up for the new way of thinking with a hole for a PCV system. It would look better if the word "Chevrolet" faced to the passenger side of the engine.

Ok - so it's Clifford that's making the valve cover and side cover with the "Chevrolet" script on them. It appears that there is a "boss" on the valve cover for the use of a PCV system. Yet another choice for a sidecover that still doesn't fill the void for a GOOD vintage looking short sidecover. Not bad, but it isn't vintage.

To me, it is a second choice and I agree with you Jaime, the vintage stuff still "rocks"! grin

Great looking Jaime!

I do like those air cleaners - something else to lust after! The carbs look good, too! Carters -right? Interesting oil filter setup. I have never seen one of those, all though I had one that mounted like that, but stood up and out from the block. It stood up about a foot or so. I saw it at a swap meet, bought it, but have since sold it.

I do like the hole for the linkage on the Edmunds intake. A guy could probably drill a hole for that kind of linkage on several other brands of intake - even below the threaded hole for the outside carb stud.

Ok, Jaime and I have brought this thread back to the top to keep it going! Any previous contributors got any new stuff to talk about? Anybody else have anything to add? Come on, come on! Barry?

Bt the way, that fellow with the table full of intakes was at Pate again this year. I spent about a couple of hours or more just talking with him. He was located on the first row closest to the track. Nice fellow! The table looked like the picture I took back in 2005. He doesn't seem to sell much. His prices are very high!! His name is Dave Oas.

You guys dragged up the best thread ever from the 'bolt! It just won't die. I'm really diggin' Jaime's grey and alum. engine against the green firewall. The green is one of those colors that if I saw it on a color chip I would think it would look awful on a car, but when I saw Jaime's pics of the car, it looks just perfect! The detailing of the engine looks good too. You and Joe, Bill, Bob, and Mike all seem to have a good eye for detail on a 6-banger.

I'll be at the Back to the '50's swap meet this Sunday selling truck parts and junk to fuel my old aluminum, gas pump, and porcelian sign addictions.

I'm with you Barry. That is one fine looking engine and engine/cab color combination.

Speaking of automobilia -- I recently sold two 1927 Fry Visible Gas Pumps and a mint Eco Air Station; had to get rid of them before I too became addicted

I have the same problem with addictions. This weekend I'm thinking about trying to sell my Snap-On clock collection to buy more Nicson or Sharp speed goodies or a Chevrolet Super Service sign. Problem is, 10 years from now I'll get interested in the Snap-On clocks again and start buying them all back again anyhow!

Cosmo, I'm running one of those Edelbrocks with a couple of Carter YF's on my 216. Real happy with it.

Lookin' nice Jaime, which top you got for that Innerliner filter? I've got a couple of the larger truck ones with the finned top that are way cool looking.

Better sell those clocks quick Barry, 3 weeks till Iola. grin

If anyone is looking for one, there is a Edmunds dual carb intake with Holley carbs on E-pay right now. Not the water heated type, I dont think. Still, neat find if ya have the $$ to grab it up!

about the engine
Bone stock inside.
Chev's of the 40 gray paint
Edmund's 2x1 intake
Edmund's valve cover
Inner Line Filtor
Original Fenton's that have been porcelainized

The valve cover, intake, oil filter and air cleaner top's have been covered in Cerma Chrome. It look's more like polished aluminum to me and am real happy with it.I was trying to find some one to cast me some air cleaner top's out of aluminum when I dicovered Cerma Chrome so I decided to try it was very happy with the out come.

And I thought my idea was original. Those are the same aircleaners I'm going to use on my 261. I've been polishing mine and will powder coat them w/high temp clear like I did my valve cover.

You guys have gone an done it! eek

I just finished adding those air cleaners to my list of "Favorites" that I'm looking for this evening just before coming onto the Stovebolt site. They look great!

I have two matching very nice oil bath air cleaners that'll work if I can't find any of these!

Jaime, who did the porcelian on the headers? I know a place up here in Minnesota does it, but it costs as much or more than the headers do, so I've never had any done. I like the look, but I'm too cheap I guess. grin
