Just like the Wayne, it will probably say "Patrick's" on the inside of it. Mine don't! :p And, I'll bet they cost as much as an original Fenton. I've got two Fenton's right now, but I don't think the bottom will fall out of the original Fenton market. Joe

Actually, hasn't this manifold been on ebay a few times before? Didn't brjr51 send me a link to this same manifold about 6 months ago? I think you should buy it ViejitosCC. LOL That would fit under the hood of an AD PU I'll bet!

I think almost all of mine have the linkage run through the part of the manifold where the carbs sit. I'm not sure about the headers. I don't recognize them.

For my own personal taste, I've decided the best looking ones are the Edmunds and the Ededlbrock. I found an Edelbrock quite a while ago and will be using it on a 261 stroker with Caddy pistons. There are still a couple on the list that I haven't seen. Anyone have pics of the Harper, Wayne, Lee or Newhouse?

I picked it up some years back but have never messed with it. Very well made. I have never seen a Wayne, Lee or Newhouse intake. I didn't know Wayne made an intake. I have heard of Lee and Newhouse. I suspect a Newhouse would be pretty tough to come by since the distribution of those intakes were soley by Newhouse Automotive Industries in Los Angeles 22, Calif. Anybody ever seen a set of Cal Custom spark plug wire looms? I know ViejitosCC is looking for some. I know a guy who had a set of rough rusty ones. They have sparked an interest in me for them. I'd like to find a set just to have! Joe

They look just like the ones in an old catalog I have. They appeared to be both formed and welded. While we're on the speed equipment subject, who made this,

It wouldn't surprise me if that was a creation of his. It definitely is set up for the new way of thinking with a hole for a PCV system. It would look better if the word "Chevrolet" faced to the passenger side of the engine. Joe

It appears that there is a "boss" on the valve cover for the use of a PCV system. Yet another choice for a sidecover that still doesn't fill the void for a GOOD vintage looking short sidecover. Not bad, but it isn't vintage. To me, it is a second choice and I agree with you Jaime, the vintage stuff still "rocks"! Joe

The carbs look good, too! Carters -right? Interesting oil filter setup. I have never seen one of those, all though I had one that mounted like that, but stood up and out from the block. It stood up about a foot or so. I saw it at a swap meet, bought it, but have since sold it. I do like the hole for the linkage on the Edmunds intake. A guy could probably drill a hole for that kind of linkage on several other brands of intake - even below the threaded hole for the outside carb stud. Ok, Jaime and I have brought this thread back to the top to keep it going! Any previous contributors got any new stuff to talk about? Anybody else have anything to add? Come on, come on! Barry? Bt the way, that fellow with the table full of intakes was at Pate again this year. I spent about a couple of hours or more just talking with him. He was located on the first row closest to the track. Nice fellow! The table looked like the picture I took back in 2005. He doesn't seem to sell much. His prices are very high!! His name is Dave Oas. Joe

I'm really diggin' Jaime's grey and alum. engine against the green firewall. The green is one of those colors that if I saw it on a color chip I would think it would look awful on a car, but when I saw Jaime's pics of the car, it looks just perfect! The detailing of the engine looks good too. You and Joe, Bill, Bob, and Mike all seem to have a good eye for detail on a 6-banger.
I'll be at the Back to the '50's swap meet this Sunday selling truck parts and junk to fuel my old aluminum, gas pump, and porcelian sign addictions.
