I PUT IN A '55 235 THAT'S REBUILT IN MY '48 CHEVY HALF TON... AND NOTICE THAT THERE'S NO TIMING NOTCH ON THE HARMONIC BALANCER/PULLEY
IS THERE ANOTHER MARK USED TO FIND TOP DEAD CENTER?

You'll see it through a hole in the bellhousing just above the starter. In this hole is a pointer which will line up with a ball in the flywheel when at TDC. | | |

start the timing by setting 'octane selector' on dist to 0 - the timing mark is a little ball on the flywheel, seen thru the opening in the pass side flywheel cover
