I like the idea of a dump bed. I like different things and it will look good parked with the dump up. Your doing a good job. Keep the pics coming. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 615 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 615 | Thanks Guys..
work or cruise? Both. I want the best looking work truck I can build...a somewhat hotrodded work truck..light duty..jus some dump runs etc.
A hoist is not something I ever thought about. When my mother in law and father in law gave it to me 30 years ago it was with the under standing that I take the hoist off for my father in law. Shorthly there after I noticed it was welded to the frame..would be a lot of work to remove so that was forgotten about. The dump body is handy for dumping garbage and brush..My town lets me back in and dump like the large trash haulers.
Spent some fine time yesterday tweaking the door gaps. The gap between the door and rocker was off considerably. I did the step replacement a couple of years ago. Because the hinges were worn it seems I welded the step/rockers to match the sagging doors. Anyway I cut the tack welds..and repositioned the rocker using a transmission jack to get the right height and a paint stick as a guage. Got it dialed in..just some filler work left.
Thanks again,
Keith
