A lot of parts are shared, but overall GMC made a far heavier duty truck. The larger the truck, the more differences you'll find.
What parts in particular are you thinking?

So I,m hoping the chevy 4 spd will work. also the 2spd rearend in the gmc doesn,t work. The rear might be an easy swap, but may not and really the only way to know is to compare how they mount.
