I ordered a oil pan and that should stop that leak but I get a leaking from the front universal joint. I don't see a place for a gasket. In the Classic Parts set of gaskets/seals, the blue gaskets (4 of them - some other sets only come with two gaskets for this location) that go between the ball-housing collar and the transmission. Having more than one in position on the ball housing/transmission join takes up the slack (described in the shop manual) and if a leak develops loosen the bolts and a gasket can be torn out and the bolts tightened up to make it drip free. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 388 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 388 | The Master Parts Catalog indicates that the same seal kit is used for 1/2 tons from 1929-54. You are right about the 6-hole 1954 hydra-matic seals. What type of cover goes over the u-joints on a 3/4 ton u-joints/driveshaft extension tube?
