My gas tank is leaking a bit in my '62. I could have it professionally sealed and put it back in, or I was thinking of getting a larger capacity tank and putting it in.
I'm going to move the spare tire to the inside of the cargo area, on a bracket welded to the driver's side wall. I'm going to cut storage compartment into the passenger side wall, with a factory looking door/access cover, and store a modern truck's jack kit in there.
this opens up the space under the cargo floor for a bigger gas tank.

What has everyone used?

I patched my original tank 2 times and then I mounted the spare inside using part of a kit made for mounting the spare on van barn doors and went with a polyetheline tank from Brothers. It's not bigger but it won't rust!I also mounted a tool box over the passenger side wheel well that is really ment for a pick up box.
You can see my interior set up in the photo section under eb's 63
