The tranny is a three on the tree. The casing looks nothing like the images of a Muncie, Saganaw or a Borg Warner. There are only 5 bolts on the side cover. The code on the housing is GM 3743368. The only lead I've had from this code would be a Corvette transmission from the early 60's. There is what appears to be a 1 62 before the numbers listed above. If anyone has any idea what trans. this might be please shed some light. I don't think that it would be a 'Vette trans, they used the same as regular passenger car, either the SM 318/319 (4 bolt cover) or the SM 326/330 (7 bolt cover). I haven't found any 5 bolt cover 3 speeds in my manuals.
