There maybe a difference in the angle that the exhaust pipe bolts to the manifold between the two and three bolt manifolds. The three bolt exhaust manifold also has a larger opening for the exhaust pipe. The 292 carb has a larger throttle bore and would be jetted rich for a 250.

I could not see it being longer just did not make sense.I killed the Idea to put a 350 into the 41 sedan delivery and am going with the 250 and 700r4, hopefuly I can get decent milage out of it.
