Ok got a question, will the intake and exhaust off a 292 work on a 250? I have found answers going both ways yes and no, witch is it? Thanks Mike

The manifolds should bolt to the head with no problem. There maybe a difference in the angle that the exhaust pipe bolts to the manifold between the two and three bolt manifolds. The three bolt exhaust manifold also has a larger opening for the exhaust pipe. The 292 carb has a larger throttle bore and would be jetted rich for a 250.

The differences in blocks between the 250 and 292 is the 292 is about 1 3/4 inches taller, so in some application you could have clearance problem with the hood.

Glad to help.

The guy that told me this is suppost to be a guru with them but I think father time has kicked in for him. I could not see it being longer just did not make sense.I killed the Idea to put a 350 into the 41 sedan delivery and am going with the 250 and 700r4, hopefuly I can get decent milage out of it.
