on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2001 Posts: 71 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: May 2001 Posts: 71 | Just talked to Coffey Transmissions in Ft. Worth. They advertise in Hemmings and claim to specialize in the vintage Hydros. Would appreciate comments from anyone who has dealt with them. Mine is in desperate need of rebuilding. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 1,299 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 1,299 | I don't know about Coffey but I took mine to local trans shop where owner is old enough to have worked on them when they were new. Good Luck. | | | | | Joined: May 2001 Posts: 71 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: May 2001 Posts: 71 | Trouble is most of those guys are either semi-retired or semi-dead. One I called in Phoenix only comes in a couple of days a week, which does not sound promising for a quick turnaround. One I called in Tucson quoted $2000-3000. Seems a bit high, almost like he'd rather not bother with the job at all. | | |
