well i have started checking the ole 52 over a little and thought i would show a few more pic,s and ask a few questions.
i have to brag about my door panels-- first off do not hate me because of my lovely door panels http://www.flickr.com/photos/11977495@N06/2452570722/in/set-72157604648920809/ i may see about repoing them. does anyone reconize this tach and why do you think they added the vacumn gauge? the fellow that owned it years ago did several personal touchs to the dash. http://www.flickr.com/photos/11977495@N06/sets/72157604648920809/

An old Sun tach I would say it was an aviation piece but 3500 just don't sound fast enough for aircraft.

You'd better nail those door panels down. Take them in the house at night. If not, I'll find you, and your doors will look like mine do. ;}

For a time in the 70's lots of experts recommended using a vacuum guage to maximize fuel economy. The higher the vacuum the better your mileage if I remember correctly.

Back when I used to fly none of the engines ever saw 3500 rpm. That was a long time ago but he operating range was more like 1900-2200. Maybe some did but I never saw one.

Did this truck also come with a red and green light that tells you when to shift? That is some serious 'bling' on the dash. Almost deserving of my 'Hoopty COE Truck' smile
