If I put this in the wrong forum please forgive me. So here goes. I spotted a pretty cool compass on Ebay. The draw back is there is no fluid inside the compass. Can anyone tell me what liquid is used inside the compass? I looks to me in other compasses that the liquid is slightly viscus, so not plain water. That makes sense. Mineral oil won't thicken up in cold weather, and is water clear.
