What I'm wondering is if this cab and cab parts are close enough to the same to fit my '36. I know that the front clip is quite different but if the cab fits I might buy it for that and part out the rest. I do know that on the Pickups the early 36 was a "high roof" and then late 36 came out with a low roof. Hang tight someone will chime in here soon.
I might add that on the pickups(you have a BIG bolt) that the cabs had wood in them. Then beginning in 37 the cabs were all steel. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 11 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 11 | The 36 low cab is different than the 38 cab in the windshield upper hinge, frame & glass height as well as wood front door body posts and wood floor boards. Chevrolet by 1940 used the 38 cab as a replacement cab for the 34-36 trucks. You do have to use all the 37-38 cab parts. I think the doors are the same.

All the 36 low cabs from the 1/2 ton to Maple Leaf 2 tons are all the same. GMC cabs for the same year are also the same.
