Have not been here in a while--the world gets in the way.
Does anyone know where I can find directions on how to install a windshield wiper fluid system on a truck that did not have one before. I have some of the parts but need to know about the set-up in front of the windshield.
Any info. is appreciated.

Alot will depend on what year truck you're working with. Pretty much any of them made after 55 2nd will have a provision for the squirters on the wiper arm bezels. You might have to remove a screw plug from the bezels. There should be a 1/8" tube coming from the botom of the bezel that will come out under the dash. It's simply a matter of running the hoses (I used vynal tubing) to the pump, then wiring up the pump to a switch.

I put in a new switch w/ a fluid button but what i'm not sure about is the parts on the outside of the windshield where the water comes out onto the windshield. I'd have to drill two holes I guess in the metal and find the right attachments to put in there.
I'm starting from scratch with no idea what's needed or where to get it. I've looked through Brothers and Classic Parts and many old truck mags. but never saw anything about that set up.
The pump is mentioned and the hoses and the switch but never the nozzels or whatever they are called.

redtruck - for 65, the washer nozzles were mounted in the hood if I remember right - the only place I've seen that has a replacement ["universal", not exact] is LMC Truck here ... other than that you're faced with finding some originals off a truck being parted

Now that the snow is melting and I may be able to dig my way to my truck it's time to get back to last year's unfinished projects.
It'll be a month or more before I venture to the great outdoors but thanks again for the info.

Actually, the nozzles mounted in the cowl and the washer button was integrated into the wiper switch. A plastic jug mounted to the inner fender well and I think the pump was a part of the wiper motor itself. Might have to go junk yarding or to a swap meet to find the correct parts,

48BT is right.. there should be little metal pipes in the vents on the cowl. The wiper switch has a push button on it that turns on the wipers at the same time. The pump is attached to the wiper motor, but it's easier to put in a generic electric washer pump than try and get the mechanical one going. I'd have to double check my truck, but I think the rubber line comes into the cab and then up. Washer bottle mounts on the left of the radiator, just above the regulator. Atleast it does on my 63.

I just parted out an 88 Subaru for a friend, and the first thing off of it was the wiper nozzles, fluid bottle and the hoses. If someone wanted one of these for their truck, it wouldn't take much to make it work by running a toggle switch for the pump, and a couple of small holes on the cowl or hood for the nozzles.
