I have looked for unique wheels for my truck since I got interested in trucks. I have an original set of 15 inch artillery wheels on my 3/4 ton and I have a set of 16 inch artillery wheels that I had widened to 6 inch and 8 inch wide rims at Stockton wheel for my 1/2 ton.

What other wheels are people running that fit the chevy 6 bolt pattern? I would love to see any pictures people might have of anything rare or unique.

I am at same stage in my resurrection of my '40. The only thing that keeps popping into my head are chrome reverse wheels with red line tires.

These are only my thoughts, I am sure my wife will think that this is really greasy, but maybe I just won't let her know what I just may do.

I like stock steelies with chrome Moon caps. If the wheels are painted body color, or red, or khaki tan, score bonus cool points. It's cheap and attractive!

How can you get cooler than 16 inch artillery wheels that have been widened? I had mine widened to 7 inches at stockton wheel, for my 1940.

I have original rims and hubcaps on mine. Is that cool or what?

I got a good set of hubcaps about a year ago on eBay for only $40.00.

I also have stock 16" rims with original caps and trim rings on my 49. Wheels are black. I would like something newer as I am certain my old rims could use trueing and straightening.
I have baby moons and trim rings on my Malibu.

Check with www.rallyamerica.com These guys sell a pretty nice repop of the old artillery wheel with any lug configuration you need. They can do any offset you want also and have the smoothies etc etc. Their website should show all the combinations.

I went 5 lug with my 47 coupe and rallys then didn't like the little cap so found a place in So Cal that made my stock cap fit rally wheel.
There is also Stockton wheel and Paulson's wheels.

Oh I agree they are cool and I plan on running my artillery wheels on my 1940 1/2 ton. I just thought I would see what other people had.

I have these on my '66. They are made by Pacer and have a fake bead-lock ring on them. People usually ask me how much horsepower I'm making because they think I have gobs and gobs of it.

I'm saving up for a mid-70's front axle so that I can have disk brakes, I know that they'll look better than the primered drums do now.

I've got 16" chrome 8-lug wheels off of a 2000 GMC. They look great.

I saw just today a set of American Racing ST wheels on a late model Chevy truck. The look is similar to the old Cragar S/S wheels, but in a 6 spoke with 6 lugs. I would actually consider a set for my TF. I normally HATE modern wheels. These have a classic look to them without looking cheap. Probably more than the $2 in my truck fund though.

For the classic look but in a modern design, I'm not sure if they have the right ones, but you might try Wheel Vintiques.

You'll find that those will not fit the older trucks. The backspacing on those are made only for the late model ('88-current) trucks which use a much deeper backspace (about 5") that the pre '87s (3 1/2"). they will rub.

Wheel Vintique has a good selection. Coker Tire does too but costs more.
I have a set of Ultra's on my truck- 15x7 front and 15x10 rear. Picked them up from local speed shop( Goodies ) last year.
