A 3100 is a 1/2 ton. A 3600 is a 3/4 ton which is longer than a 1/2 ton,,so, no they wont fit.

I have a pair of 3/4 ton boards and they measure 71 3/4 along the top edge that goes under the cab. The 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton are different lengths. Hope that will help

The 3100 (Q/2 ton running boards have a length of about 67". The ones you are describing as being 71" are for a long bed truck.
