My father mentioned there are 2 types - one for generator & one for alternator. I've got a generator. What am I asking the guys at the parts shop for? The regulator was replaced about 3 years ago so I'm surprised it's gone so fast. If your parts guy is worth his salt, he'll know exactly what you need.

American Classic has them for $45.00 if you are running a stock setup in your '58.
