Getting a nice welcome way down at the parts wanted section when I wrote my first post made me think that I haven't introduced myself..
My name is Anders and I live in Norway, Europe.
I have been reading here for about a year, registered some months ago. Really glad to have found this superb site, it has really helped me with the work I am doing on my truck. Even if I haven't asked, others have and the search function covers most things..
As for my truck it is a 59 Apache shortbed fleetside (235/3-speed, big back window, all trim available). It is in rough driver condition and is getting a little TLC this winter. I want to keep it a little rough as I like them that way, but what there is of rust is taken care of and the drivetrain and suspension is getting a lot of new parts. And a hundred other things..
Anyway, glad to be a part of this community, happy new year to everyone from up north!

Anders

Welcome to Stovebolt.com. Management has asked that introductions go in the Stovebolt Dispatch forum so I'm moving this over there.

Use General Truck Talk for general questions about these old trucks or for more specific questions use one of the specialized forums.

Good luck with your truck. I know you'll enjoy it.

Welcome to the Stovebolt & Happy New Year from the fun & sun of Florida, USA. It's going to be about 25 degrees here Thursday morining, kind of like a warm day in Norway?

Thanks! Wouldn't mind a trip to Florida right now. I have actually been there twice before and will be back..
Here in Norway we have about 0 degrees Celsius now (freezing point) but no snow. At least the cold winters and roadsalt gives me time to work on my old cars that are only used in the summer months..

(Thanks for moving the post. I have just been used to reading in the "General Truck Talk" part and posted there without thinking..)

Welcome to the 'bolt Rocket. If, while working on your truck, you discover a fix or shortcut that hasn't been mentioned don't be bashful about jumping in. We can use all the help we can get. grin

Hey Anders,
Hello from another 59 Apache operator.

Did you know that a "59 Rocket" was an Oldsmobile? Don't worry, Olds were built by GMC, so your name is still O.K.
