I believe they cut out a section about a foot in from the back. It looked pretty straightforward as I remember. They didn't take the bedsides off probably for stability. Don't konw how they did the frame.

The rear cross sill has a couple of bolts inside that needs to be removed and then you need to cut the small welds in the corners to get them apart.
