This is mounted on my '49 3100 (new to me). i know it's not original. No numbers on it anywhere I can find. It is leaking a little and i would like to replace it.

pic here

One day I would like to go to a dual, but if I can rebuild this one or get a rebuilt cheap I may go that route for now.

Thanks

Scott

Hy Meyer, it looks like a master cylinder from an early to mid sixties Dodge 1/2 ton, hope that helps.

It's definitely a MoPar pickup M/C. My 65 Dodge 1/2 ton had two, one for the brakes, and another one without the brake light switch for the hydraulic clutch.

Looks like several upgrades to your fine looking '49. Do you have a swing pedal now for that master cylinder? As was stated, a dual cylinder is an easy switch.

Found the casting number on the bottom. Late 40's to early 50's Dodge/Chrysler.

It does have a swing pedal.

Just going to replace for now. May do an S10 frame swap down the road (probably heresy to some here grin ) so will just do the whole upgrade at that time.

I am in the process of still learning what I have. It was converted to 5 lug, etc. Still figuring it all out.
