I have 3 bolts on the outside drivers door just under the wing vent,I tried to look inside the door to see what they are for but all I see is a steel plate.I want to omit these 3 bolts, can I bond the plate inside the door? or just remove the 3 bolts and maybe the plate all together? Most 65 chevys I see don't have these bolts or have removed them.

They are the bolt location for the factory mirrors. If you want to delete them, I would weld them shut. I've seen plastic and fiberglass patches crack out after a short while,
