Is there a suitable reproduction available? I looked at my '40 and the left side of the cowl is just about vertical. It seems like there would be enough room to put one there without interfering with the door or the gullwing hood.
Ideas?

This should be as original as the ad-on radio mounts to the left of the steering column. In the Gallery go to Jim Merritt's 46.

I'm looking at a period, aftermarket radio to mount to the left of the steering column. That antenna looks just right.

Anyone ever heard of or seen anything like that? I'm not one to shave door handles and such, but I just don't like the look of an antenna grafted on to the side of the cab.

It seems to me a hidden antenna would be out of place. If I was using a modern radio in the glove box, I could see hiding the antenna. The dual side mount type antenna looks good to me. I see on Alan Horvath's site he mentions the new ones from Chevy Duty have plastic mounts, not metal. Anyone know who has the metal mount types?
