However, I do not have a box for the truck and I am having a difficult time finding a used one. What years of chevy boxes will fit this truck or roughly the same size? | | | | | Joined: Jan 2000 Posts: 2,074 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2000 Posts: 2,074 | A buddy of mine had his box made at a sheet metal shop, made the tail gate from flat sheet and welded on some exhaust tubing for the top and bottom. You just need to locate an original box for measurements. Not sure on the years, need to check Chevy books for wheelbase in those years, may be near the same from 34 to about 38.

There is a place in Moberty Missouri that you can order one. I got mine from there a few years a go and it was right on. Now you can buy direct from them. I honestly can't think of the name right now but I know they are still in business. The front panel and the tailgate were the same from 1934 to 1938. The replacement boxes have straight sides and don't have the clearance offset in the wheel opening lower area of the box.
