It looks to be a conversion and most likely starting with a truck and not a panel or burb. It has truck fenders on the back of it and not panel fenders look at the rear fender in this Picture and then look at the rear fender on the woody and you'll notice the two fenders have a completely different contour. looks like who ever converted it did a really good job and was done many years ago

It is amazing the variety of makes that were used for these conversions. Wish I could find detailed blueprints or plans for building one of these... maybe on a '40's Cadillac front clip! ..... The Highlander was built on 1/2 ton chassis, & you could get them in 3 more different sizes. The Campbell "Club", was built on a 3/4 ton chassis, the Campbell "Surrey" was built on a 1 ton chassis, & the Campbell "Convoyer" was built on a 1 1/2 ton chassis. I saw one of these coming into town last month, on a '48-'50 Dodge chassis. I'd love to have one. | | | | Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 17 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 17 |

The Campbell info., I've gathered came from a 1953 Chevrolet Truck Silver Book. It shows the Highlander as accomodating 6-8 passengers, the Club accomodating 11 passengers, the Surrey, as accomodating 11 passengers, & the Convoyer, as accomodating 14-18 passengers. | | | | Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 17 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 17 | Originally posted by spanky: I saw one of these coming into town last month, on a '48-'50 Dodge chassis. I'd rather spend 10-20K on a truck that I wasn't afraid to drive. | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 267 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 267 | that is sweet!! if i had a 100k laying around i'd park it in my garage. it wood  be fun to build if the time allowed tom

Nice find, George. Let's see the ad says we could call them at "Waterloo 66" to get some more info .............I guess we'll need a time machine to make that call.
