I would just spot it with the mig, but Im having trouble finding it now that the oil is out of the pan. I thought I would just clean it up real good and coat the entire area with layer of JB. Any thoughts?

I've rinsed them out real good & get plenty of ventilation & brazed them but it's scary.

Worked great for years and still did when he sold the car. I drained his oil, dropped the pan, degreased it and cleaned the hole really well. I mixed up the JB Weld, put it on and let it dry for a couple hours then i put on one more layer and let it dry inside for a day. I put it back on the car, and added oil. Presto Changeo it worked just fine.

Find the hole and fix it right the first time.
I understand taking the easy way out every now and then, but this is a simple one to fix correctly, and important too.

JB weld works great for patching overflow tanks, plastic parts, and filling in on welded patch jobs. I have used it to reinforce body parts, trim parts, the broken remote to the TV, etc, however to keep the life-blood of an engine in tact scares the poop out of me.

At least my transmission is clean now.... And my leak is gone.

Fire was big enough to make me pull the engine to repaint
FYI - I am about a half hour to the east of you. 10 to 57 to Z. If you are in the area, stop on buy, usually have a bottle or two of Liquid BS enhancer.
