This weekend I got two new trucks, both '54 GMC 1-tons, one a driver with a Hyda-Matic the other a parts truck missing engine and transmission.

I love bigger trucks and was giddy when I got this one home!

what might be neat would be to put the larger single tires on the back instead of the duals. they are putting them on semis now.saves weight. just a thought. ron

As they say in church, "some people are blessed"! I wouldn't be calling that truck a parts truck, not where I come from. There is some pretty nice metal on that truck. I hope that you have fun with those trucks.

You're gonna have to change your name to "Oldbigbolt" soon. Nice save, what's your plans for it?
Scott

I'll have to wait until I get to work to see your pictures, darn it.

I love that blue dually as a dually!

The white truck is definitely just parts, I probably didn't take pictures of the bad body parts, but it has them.

Calling the dually a runner is probably stretching the truth a little, but the motor spins nice and sounds right, and the PO says it was driven just a couple years ago. The hood was stuck shut and tonight I managed to get it open. Next is checking fluids, checking electrical, and then sticking a battery in it.

I'm confident its going to run.
